About Me

I was born to travel and have had quite a few stints with travelling in life. I have done a number of road travels Asia, Europe and American continent. Some of them are :

  1. A road trip in Europe starting from London to France, Switzerland, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, UK (A trip inspired from movie DDLJ). I was working in North Carolina, USA and flew to UK for this trip.
  2. Two trips from New York to Buffalo, Toronto, Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and back to New York
  3. Quite a few individual trips to Europe i.e. Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Holland, Spain etc by flights and trains.
  4. Drive around California covering some parts of Los Angeles. The plan was to drive from California to New York but it never took shape.
  5. Couple of trips within UK from London to lands end (John O’Groats) in Scotland via Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fort Williams, Inverness, Wick, Thurso, Durness, Ullapool, Oban, Stranrer etc.
  6. Since i lived in Scotland eventually, i explored a lot of nooks and cranies which would be oblivious to one time traveller.
  7. Chandigarh to Kashmir, then Kashmir to Leh/Ladakh, from Ladakh to Manali and then back to Chandigarh. This was done on the spur of a moment as the initial plan was only to go to Kashmir.
  8. Chandigarh to Nepal via Paonta Sahib, Dehradun, Joshimath, Birendranagar and reverse trip via Bhairahawa, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, New Delhi
  9. Couple of drives from Chandigarh to Goa and back via Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune etc covering interesting routes from north of India to the south.
  10. Seperate trips to Chennai and Bangalore from Chandigarh and a few trips from Bangalore to ooty and Goa. This covered a few of the best routes of south India.
  11. Flew from Bangalore to Sri Lanka then Singapore and then mix of road and sea journeys to Malaysia and Thailand
  12. Another drive from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Hat yai, Satun, Langkawi and back with my family for Christmas holidays having flown there from UK
  13. A couple of trips from Toronto to North Bay via Barrie and Huntsville. The plan was to make one trip but was cought speeding, so had to go there 3 times (once even flew in from UK) as was required by the court. Would not suggest anyone to try this…lol.

Now that brings me to the mother of all road trips. A trip from Glasgow to Goa covering all over Europe and Asia. This could be a start to an adventure which i hope will take me to parts of Europe i have never seen, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Turkemenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgystan, China and Pakistan.

Besides travelling I like to read a lot of books and novels (I am in the process of writing one with a hope to finish and publish soon). Osho inspires me to the spiritual part of life and helps me stay focused. I also like to play Tabla though am in the process of learning Saxophone which had been one of my childhood dreams . I have also been a keen investor in real estate with business interest in different countries. This has helped me fund my travels all along. I love holidaying in Goa where i have a villa called Casa Europa http://www.goanbeachhouse.com

By the way this incidence takes us back in 2001 when were in London and we lived in there for around 8 years and hence love the sentence written on the front of the vehicle- “SIKHS IN SCOTLAND”- Hats off to you bro- SING IS KING!
